Birth

How would our world change if children were born in dignity and joy rather than in fear? That question goes to the heart of our future. Because birth is more than the start of a new life — it is a moment in which the force of creation shows itself and touches every one of us.

On your own terms, and safely held

The birth of your child is a singular moment, and it deserves an atmosphere of calm and trust. Here you can experience it in the way that feels right to you — without any pressure of time, in a protected, family-like setting.

We are with you sensitively and with full professional skill, to give you confidence and to let you give birth at your own pace.

You and your baby are at the centre of everything we do.

Out-of-hospital midwifery care

Giving birth at the birth centre means a calm, familiar setting, far from hospital bustle. Our experienced midwives are with you through the birth, sensitive and professional, so that it is both safe and yours to shape.

In good hands, at every moment

If a transfer becomes necessary, we are well prepared for it. We work closely with the nearby Klinikum Ingolstadt, 2 km away to ensure a safe transition and the greatest possible safety.

A safe birth at the centre needs midwives at your side who are experienced, skilled and familiar to you. That is why we are glad to accompany you for as much of your pregnancy as possible. The earlier you get in touch, the more closely we can respond to what you need.

Every decision remains entirely yours. Where you choose to give birth has no bearing on the care you receive during pregnancy or afterwards. That means you can change direction at any point — guided by your own feeling and your own intuition.

Informed, free decisions matter enormously to us, because they are the foundation of the greatest possible safety.

After the birth: the sensitive time of bonding

Once your baby is born, the highly sensitive third stage begins. Your baby stays connected to the placenta through the cord until the placenta too has been born. After that you rest for as long as you like before going home.

Births at the centre are outpatient births: you go home within 24 hours, and we continue to visit you there every day. Most families stay with us between three and twelve hours after the birth — time to get to know each other in peace, to cuddle, to feed and to marvel at your baby.
